Hello everybody,

Hugh Jackman May 21 was having a very busy day, as he starred in a new advertising phone (apparently from the same company Micromax, with whom he had a year ago, has been contracted), and the whole day he was seen running down the street in New York under the gun cameras or walked imposingly there in a tuxedo with a bow tie.

New Article: Hugh Jackman Launches Sunscreen Line for Kids

Posted on 22 May 2015 by Admin

"Hugh Jackman is more than just Wolverine — he's a business man. And with a good cause, too.

Jackman has helped to launch Pure Sun Defense, a sunscreen for kids featuring characters like Spider-Man and Princesses Anna and Elsa on the bottles in order to motivate to kids to want to lather on that protection.

"That's all very nice and wonderful," you might say, "a celebrity with a product! Sounds pretty typical." However, folks who dismiss the Jackman-plugged sunscreen might want to think twice, as Jackman has a good reason to be backing the liquid cover-up: he's overcome several bouts of skin cancer, and he now wants to help prevent children from having to fight the same battle.

If you recall back in the end of 2013, Jackman posted a photo to Instagram with a bandage on his nose.

"Deb [his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness] said to get the mark on my nose checked," he wrote in the caption. "Boy, she was right! I had basal cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me! Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

Jackman recently spoke out to ABC News about how he learned he had skin cancer — one of X-Men's makeup artists saw an odd spot on his nose. Jackman, who says he grew up playing in the outdoors, got it checked out, and learned the unfortunate truth: he had basal cell carcinoma.

In a video segment for Pure Sun Defmense, Jackman divulges he has had four skin cancers removed. (According to an interview with People, he gets check-ups every three months.) Yet, he is aware this could have been preventable, and he wants to take the opportunity to stress how critical it is for kids to lather on that lotion — especially since he discovered that only 25 percent of kids wear sunscreen — a jarring statistic.

The matter must be especially pressing to Jackman, as he has two kids of his own, Ava, 9, and Oscar, who will be 15 next week.

"Obviously I'm a father and many of you are parents. I don't want that future for my children. I don't want that future for any of the kids today," the 46-year-old actor says in the video — hence why he decided to be a part of Pure Sun Defense as co-creator. It's evident that unlike many celeb-backed products, Jackman truly cares about educating children about skin cancer prevention.

So kids, put on your sunscreen. Wolverine told you to do it."

Project Updates: Hugh Supporting Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day In A Music Video!

Posted on 17 May 2015 by Admin

"Jamie Oliver has put down his frying pan and picked up a microphone — all in the name of his new food education project.

To mark Food Revolution Day, the British chef appears in a Band Aid style music video rapping alongside actor Hugh Jackman, Paul McCartney and several other international stars including Ed Sheeran, who wrote the song.

“My name is Jamie Oliver and I'm here to say, I want to talk about Food Revolution Day,” Oliver raps.

“Half the world is starving, with too little to eat, and the other half die, from being obese.

“If you haven't got a clue, about the mess that we're in, the answer is in the words that we sing.”

Oliver’s Food Revolution Day wants to get compulsory food education put into schools to fight childhood obesity and diet-related health problems in young people.

A petition has been created to drive support for the project, gaining over one million signatures so far, and shared by famous faces including Matthew McConaughey to Usain Bolt.

On the petition Oliver writes, “We're currently facing a global obesity epidemic, with 42 million children under the age of five either overweight or obese across the world. The bottom line is the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify these alarming stats."

“If you can help me get millions of people to sign this petition, we can create a movement powerful enough to force all G20 governments to take action."

The campaign has also got social media users writing on their hands and taking 'sign it selfies'.

Jackman raps in the video: "Come on everybody, do the right thing, sign the petition"."

"HUGH Jackman missed out on a Tony Award nomination for his performance in The River, but there’s plenty of other Hollywood A-list stars in the running for Broadway’s highest honour.

Bradley Cooper, a best actor Oscar nominee the past three years, is a strong chance to break through with a Tony for The Elephant Man.

The other nominees in the best performance by an actor in a leading role in a play are English newcomer Alex Sharp for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Bill Nighy for Skylight, Ben Miles for Wolf Hall Parts One & Two and Steven Boyer for Hand to God.

Helen Mirren, nine years after claiming the best actress Oscar for playing Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, is a Tony frontrunner for her portrayal of the monarch in The Audience.

Mirren was nominated in the actress in a leading role in a play category with Carey Mulligan (Skylight), Elisabeth Moss (The Heidi Chronicles), Ruth Wilson (Constellations) and Geneva Carr (Hand to God)."

Project Updates: Hugh Jackman's "Pan" Pushed To October!

Posted on 26 Apr 2015 by Admin
Projects icon

"Here's yet another juggle of Warner Bros' release schedule — the third one today. Pan, the live-action film about Peter Pan that stars Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara, won't make its July 24 release date, so the studio is moving the 2D-and-3D picture to the fall. Now it will bow October 9 in theaters, including Imax. In making the announcement, the studio said it is "giving both the film and the filmmakers some extra breathing room."

Director Joe Wright expressed his appreciation. "As you might expect, the fantastical story of Peter Pan involves very complex effects, and I did not want to compromise on quality in finishing the film," he said in a statement. "This allows me and my team the time to complete the movie and tell the story the way it should be told."

By moving Pan out of the summer, the studio takes it out of a summer tentpole-cluttered season, which includes both Terminator Genisys and Ted 2 in June along with Ant-Man in July and the kid-friendly Minions from Universal, which would have bowed one week before.

It will compete that October weekend now with Universal Pictures’ Steve Jobs, which stars Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen. The only other picture is Relativity’s tentatively titled Kidnap.

Pan follows the beginnings of the beloved characters created by J.M. Barrie who live in Neverland. Jackman plays Blackbeard, and Mara will play Tiger Lilly. The cast also includes Levi Miller as Peter Pan, Garrett Hedlund, Amanda Seyfried and Adeel Akhtar (not to be confused with Adele Dazeem).

Wright is directing the project from a screenplay by Jason Fuchs. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Oscar nominee Paul Webster (Atonement) are producing, with Tim Lewis serving as executive producer.

Warners today also also announced its next three movies in the Lego franshise as well as a new release date for the animated Storks starring Andy Samberg and Kelsey Grammer."

Project Updates: Hugh Jackman to Star in Biblical Drama "Apostle Paul"

Posted on 15 Apr 2015 by Admin
Projects icon

"Hugh Jackman will star in and produce faith-based drama "Apostle Paul" for Warner Bros.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will also produce through their Warner-based Pearl Street banner along with Jennifer Todd and Chris Clarke. Courtenay Valenti and Nik Mavinkurve will oversee "Apostle Paul" for the studio.

Matt Cook is writing the screenplay about Paul, who had been persecuting Christians as Saul of Tarsus. According to Biblical accounts, as he neared Damascus a light from heaven flashed around him and he heard a voice say, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."

Paul became an apostle of Christianity, is said to have written 14 of the 27 books in the New Testament and founded many churches.

Jackman will be seen next in July as Blackbeard in "Pan," which opens in July for Warner Bros., and stars in the next Wolverine film, which opens March 3, 2017.

Jackman, Affleck, Damon and Cook all are repped by WME. Jackman is also repped by attorneys Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern. Cook is also repped by Anonymous Content."

New Article: Hugh Jackman Hints at One Last 'Wolverine' Appearance

Posted on 08 Apr 2015 by Admin
Projects icon

"Hugh Jackman has donned the Adamantium steel claws to portray Wolverine in a pair of X-Men film series as well as his own standalone superhero franchise. However, the actor has hinted that, following his starring turn in Wolverine 3, he'll depart the role for good after 17 years and at least eight films. "Wolverine one last time," Jackman wrote on Instagram beside a photo of his fists with his trademark claws protruding.

In 2014, Jackman admitted that the next standalone Wolverine film would probably end his tenure in the role. "If I did another [Wolverine film], I'm 99.9 percent sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me," Jackman said. Since the 46-year-old Australian actor took on the role of Wolverine, he's seen two-going-on-three actors portray Spider-Man on the big screen, and Jackman acknowledges that it's "inevitable" that his Wolverine will someday be recast, IGN reports.

After appearing in every X-Men film in the original trilogy plus two Logan-centric spinoffs – 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 2013's The Wolverine – Jackman's beloved superhero had a cameo in the X-Men reboot First Class before his role in that series was expanded for 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past.

While Jackman has penciled in the third Wolverine movie in March 2017 as his last appearance as the character, marking his eighth time rocking his signature sideburns, it's still unclear whether Jackman will return for next year's X-Men: Apocalypse – although Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen already revealed they won't be back – or pop up in a pair of upcoming X-Men spinoffs, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Channing Tatum's Gambit. Jackman's retirement would also eliminate him from any potential X-Men/Avengers Marvel Universe crossovers in the future.

Jackman's eighth go-round as Wolverine is significant as it would put the actor ahead of some elite company when it comes to cinematic reoccurring roles: Both Sean Connery and Roger Moore portrayed James Bond in seven films. Only the late Leonard Nimoy's Spock, who appeared in eight Star Trek films, is currently more prolific than Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in modern cinema history."
