Hey everyone, big news. Wolverine 2 will begin filming this summer. Wait, what do you mean, “Yeah, right?” Oh, sure, we’ve said this before, maybe once or twice. But after countless delays, the sequel appears ready to begin filming, according to its lead.

That’s right, Hugh Jackman himself Tweeted that the Wolverine sequel “starts shooting in August.” He was responding to an inquiry from a follower, which just goes to show you that every once in a while, when you ask a celebrity a question via social media, they’ll answer.

But this remains one of those believe-it-when-I-see-it situations, as Jackman has appeared ready to slip back into the adamantium claws for some time now, and has run into numerous delays. Directors come and go (James Mangold’s currently on the hook to helm). Natural disasters affect Japan, where the crew planned to film. Jackman moves on to musicals, like Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables.

Perhaps Wolverine really will begin filming in August, with Jackman finally able to bring the classic Frank Miller-John Romita Japanese storyline to fruition. If you remember, it was teased all the way back in 2009, at the end of the credits of X-Men: Origins – Wolverine. The actor has remained committed to the role, and to the fans. He deserves the opportunity to get Wolverine right. (Even though I’d argue he already did an outstanding Wolvie in Bryan Singer’s first X-Men movie.) If they start filming in August, as Jackman claims, expect casting news soon. The movie has a tentative release date of July 26, 2013, which will be difficult to make even if that August date comes true.

It’s a lot of factors that make Hugh Jackman such a beloved celebrity: His charisma and easy charm, the fact that he can carry a tune and dance (and isn’t afraid to do both when hosting an institution like the Oscars), his fairly well-chosen movie roles that range from actual gritty acting to campy roles. Plus, he’s easy on the eyes. (Yep, pretending those gay rumors don’t exist at all. Sitting over here with my fingers in my ears. La la la.)

His sense of humor is evident in this great CollegeHumor video, where Hugh auditions for a teaching job at Harlem Village Academies. His parody of the conceited Hollywood star is great, down to “I’m starting at 101 [push-ups] because I did a bunch this morning” and the seriousness with which he insists that the X-Men movies gave him classroom experience. He hits all the bases I mentioned above here, plus throws in a Neil Patrick Harris jibe.

And the headshots. I’d like to think that was an Arrested Development reference thrown in there. Regardless, hilarious.

We do not get tired watching Hugh Jackman looks metamorphosis. One of the finest actors in Hollywood has long walked with a full beard. Now on his head adorned neat "hedgehog." What is the reason for the frequent change of image? The fact that Hugh Jackman plays an escaped convict Jean Valjean in the musical "Les Miserables" on the novel by Victor Hugo. The release pattern is scheduled for December this year, but residents of Russia will see the tape just at the beginning of 2013: the premiere will be held on January 24.

Taking off in "Les Miserables", Hugh Jackman does not forget that a couple of months, he has taken are coming in "Wolverine." In the town Grinhit (Kent), which now appear to go shooting, Hugh regularly attends fitness club Beefs and Babes fitness centre. "We'll shoot the stage work in Australia and the location work in Japan, and we'll start casting in the next month or so," Rothman went on saying. Since the plot will mainly be set in Japan, Rothman said that "there'll be a lot of local Japanese talent in it."

Asked about where the upcoming "Wolverine" movie will stand on, the CEO revealed, "This is a pretty original take." Hinting that the film will be grittier, he said, "It's based on a very successful run in the comics, but it's a true Wolverine movie, I mean this is the true berserker, bad ass Wolverine."
