New Article: Hugh Jackman - Heath Ledger Would Have Been A Good Wolverine!

Hello everybody,

"Hugh Jackman revealed he thought Heath Ledger would have made a good Wolverine in our exclusive fan Q&A with the X-Men: Days Of The Future Past stars.

Hugh Jackman, the Aussie actor who has played Wolverine in seven 'X-Men’ films, says Heath Ledger would have made a great replacement in the role in our exclusive ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past' interview. Watch it above.

“Originally, when I played it [first], when he was alive God rest his sole, I thought Heath Ledger could be a good young version of [Wolverine],” explained Jackman.

Heath Ledger, a fellow Aussie, died from an accidental overdose in 2008 aged 28. One of his final roles was in a comic book film, memorably playing the Joker in Chris Nolan's ‘The Dark Knight’, for which he would win a posthumous Best Supporting Oscar for.

Having played the role so many times, Jackman admits he’s nervous about seeing someone else donning the titanium claws

“It would be a little weird [seeing someone else as Wolverine],” said Jackman, “I know it’s going to happen.” Wolverine is set to return in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ on 22 May, but 20th Century Fox has recently confirmed that the invincible hero will be getting another spin-off film, likely shooting after 2016’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.

You can see more of our exclusive interview with Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender when the extended video hits the site soon.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is in cinemas from 22 May, 2014."
