"The project was first announced last year amid the rising popularity of the game 'Pokemon GO' that made players chase down the virtual pocket monsters in real life using GPS. Titled 'Detective Pikachu', it is being directed by Rob Letterman. According to the sources, the makers of the film are eyeing the actors.
Reynolds's last big screen appearance was 'Life' and 'The Hitman's Bodyguard' earlier this year. He will next reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth in 'Deadpool 2' which is scheduled to come out on June 1, 2018. He may also return for 'X-Force'. Jackman was last seen on the big screen in comic book adaptation 'Logan'. It marked his final appearance as Wolverine in the 'X-Men' franchise. His next projects include musical drama 'The Greatest Showman' and comedy drama 'The Front Runner'.
Wahlberg did 'Transformers: The Last Knight'. He will next star in comedy 'Daddy's Home 2' and crime thriller 'All the Money in the World'. He also has a TV show called 'Wahlburgers' which stars his family including brother Donnie Wahlberg. Johnson will soon be seen in 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' after his movies 'The Fate of the Furious' and 'Baywatch'. His next projects include 'Rampage', 'Skyscraper' and 'Fighting with My Family'.
The former wrestler has also been signed on an untitled 'Fast and Furious' spin-off that will focus on his character Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw. The movie is due in 2019, pushing back the next 'Fast and Furious' instalment."
"“Politics in this country — take it from me — is on the verge of becoming another form of athletic competition or sporting match. … I tremble for my country when I think we may, in fact, get the kind of leaders we deserve.”
That was a prescient line from the final speech of Senator Gary Hart’s presidential bid in 1987, when he withdrew from the race amid a personal scandal involving a model, a yacht, and press that was no longer willing to overlook such indiscretions.
Could he have still been a strong president? We’ll never know.
Hart was paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson, and in this new image, we see Hugh Jackman channeling Hart for a scene in director Jason Reitman’s The Front Runner, which started shooting today in Georgia.
Reitman has described the film as a comedy, but one with bittersweet undertones. In his prime, Hart was considered an expert on foreign policy, someone who foresaw the rise of extremism in the Middle East and the collapse of the Soviet Union as the Cold War became a different kind of adversarial relationship."
"It's somehow fitting that a musical movie that has long been a dream for some of those behind it is all about the impossible somehow coming true. That's the message of the new poster for The Greatest Showman, at least, which features Hugh Jackman as PT Barnum.
The film charts Barnum's life from a poor upbringing to his first proper circus in New York in the 1800s, a time when such shows were frowned upon as morally dubious.
Michelle Williams plays his wife Charity, with Zac Efron as his business partner who initially isn't sure about the whole shebang. Rebecca Ferguson, meanwhile, is Swedish Opera singer Jenny Lind, and Zendaya plays a trapeze artist who catches Efron's eye.
Michael Gracey is in the director's chair for the film, which we predict will have a new trailer headed our way before the week is out. The movie itself arrives on 1 January. "
